VBS and Wacky Wednesdays

July and August is full of kid's activities at church. I am in charge of all the planning and organizing and directing. It is a great time, but exhausting!Out VBS was August 4-7 in the evenings. The theme was Power Lab - Jesus Gives us the Power! The kids had a chance to be in a Spotlight Drama each night - digital photos we set up and inserted into a premade Power Point skit. Some of these pictures are from those skits.
Jesus gives us the power to be brave.
Jesus gives us the power to be thankful.
We had science type crafts - here they made slime and learned about missions in Hungary.
Oh no - is Paul soon going to be replaced with a new worship band???
During every Wednesday in July, we had Wacky Wednesday activities from 10:00-1:00. Our play set adapts well to Wet and Wild wackiness.
Some kids prefer the train that continues down the hill into the swamp!
7 teens took turns helping me with the puppet skit program and reading stories and playing games with small groups of kids.
Don't they look sweet? The numbers multiplied as kids had fun and brought friends each week.
Picnics out on the lower patio beat world record time for devouring lunch - after all, who needs to eat when the water slides are calling you?
